Get a support team to achieve your goals
Sir Edmund Hilary didn’t reach the top of Mount Everest by himself! Tenzing Norgay was his climbing partner and both men were well supported along the way. We all do better for longer with a support of a team.
This old African proverb explains it brilliantly:
‘If you want to go fast, go alone, but if you want to go far, then go together.’
On the MIOMO programme, I really love helping young people achieve their dreams by sharing my wisdom and experience. I encourage you to have people of all ages around you that will support you to reach your potential.
For those of you still living at home, your family will probably be your greatest cheerleaders. But if they aren’t – you will need to be prepared to go it alone until you can gradually surround yourself with people who do believe in what you’re doing.
