Getting work done…well.

When setting and achieving goals, I usually start off with a hiss and a roar, but nearly always lose the plot somewhere in the middle. I’m don’t think I am alone here, and it’s amazing what excuses we all come up with about why the goal can’t be achieved or isn’t important.

The trick to getting through those ‘mid-goal’ blues is to set up a mental strategy that includes checkpoints.

Concentrate on breaking your goal down into measurable chunks. Apply a time frame to those pieces, and make sure there is a reward at the end of each little milestone.

I like 90-day goals because 3 months is enough time to achieve significant things but short enough to be able to see the end in sight.

Whatever your goal, a mixture of your passion to succeed in your field along with these measurements and milestones will keep you on track.
