Break free from the grip of procrastination

Oscar Wilde said ‘I never put off till tomorrow what I can possibly leave until the day after.’

Why do we procrastinate?

Fear of Failure? – why start something if it won’t turn out, right?

Fear of Success? – and what new expectations this could place on your life?

You may not know what to do or how to do it – so you remain paralysed.

And what about good old distractions?

Let’s look at how your brain works against itself!

One half is the rational decision-making side that sets goals.

The other side is the playful part necessary for creativity.

When we’re procrastinating by playing ‘just one more game’, the playful side is sabotaging the rational side.

If we allow this to happen we end up panicking and living super-stressed and anxious lives.

Don’t be this person! Train your playful side! Do what you have to before doing what you want.
